On-call week has almost ended. It wasn’t so bad but it just messes up my whole schedule. Right now, I am looking forward to working out in the morning. Probably I will just run. I need to clear my mind. As I think about my venture, I get more nervous. As I count the days when I will get the last paycheck, I wonder if quitting corporate world is right. What if I fail? Odds are against me. I am on a pretty decent upward career move. By taking time away from corporate world, will I destroy my career? Will I start from beginning? What happens when job interviewer asks me, why did my business failed?

Yes these are negative questions but they cannot let me sleep. I am being laid off but I am sure I can get another decent job in this market without too much wait.

But I know if I don’t do try to go on my own, I will always wonder what it could have been. Will my venture be like going to business school? Learn life’s lessons while getting paid a little bit money. Perhaps I am so nervous cause I have no idea where to start. I am writing this because I am trying to get my head staright. DO NOT READ IT!!! My blog is not for making money but it is an open diary. So sometimes I just write without filtering my thoughts.

Okay this week I will do following for my business:

1. Figure a decent backup & recovery plan for my websites
2. Find non-tech business groups & network with them

This is like approaching a hot girl, fear of failure is worse than failure.

I ran out of shaving cream this morning. So I was going to buy more shaving cream at Walgreen when I got an idea. What if I use Nair. Its cream that I can put on my face in morning and then I can brush, take care of other stuff and after a few minutes just remove the cream. It will save a whole 5 minute in morning. And you know, how precious is each minute in the morning.

Well I ended up buying Nair instead of a shaving cream. Before applying it on my face I called some of my lady friends, but no one uses Nair, they just shave. However, one of my guy friend had used Nair before. (Not on himself but on his roommate. He applied it to his ex-roommates head while he was passed out). So I called him, he advised against using it because it can burn the skin.

But I still wanted to see if it can work. Extra 5 minutes could revolutionize every guy’s morning. And I just wasn’t feeling like going back to Walgreen to return a women’s hair removal cream. Instructions on the bottle said that you need to apply a thick layer on the desired area and leave it there for minimum of three minutes and maximum of ten minutes. So I applied a finger tip sized layer on my chin waited for 3 minutes, there was some tingling feeling. After 3 minutes I removed the cream and washed the area. It didn’t remove any hair.

I was a little bit disappointed but I decided to try one more time. This time I applied thicker & wider layer and left it on for 7 minutes. I was planning to leave it on for 10 minutes but after 7 minutes tingling sensation had become burning sensation. Remembering what my friend had said earlier, I removed the cream. Still there was no effect. I guess men’s or facial hair are just too thick to get disolved in Nair.

So i failed in my grand experiment. Anyways there is only one thing now, my skin feels extra sensitive, almost as if it was burned. well, at least, I got an excuse for not shaving tomorrow morning

Other day on TV, I saw some archelogist digging up dinosaur bones. It looked so much fun, they are out in sun, playing in mud, isn’t this we all wanted when we were kids? Being archeologist got to be the best profession in the world.

I don’t know if I can ever be archeologist, I guess its too late now. Other cool professions, I think, are photographer, and writer.

As a photographer, you work when you want, where you want. (I am not talking about wedding photographer). I want to be travel or model photographer or both.

And as a writer, you can also work when you want and whereever you want. I love writing blog posts while sipping coffee in coffee shops or smoking hookah in hookah lounges.

Well I guess there is always oppurtunities to do what you really love. Perhaps I should figure out how to integrate these in my daily life.
