“Entrepreneurs never fail, they only run out of money.”
Want to run marathon? or create next greatest company? Follow these 2 steps and you will never be able to quit:
- Talk: Talk about your plans with everyone, friends, family & strangers. When you have told everyone what you are doing, it won’t be easy to quit without giving your 100%. Your pride will hold you responsible.
- Get a co-founder or partner: Strange but most people will let themselves down but not others. When someone else’s success is tied to yours, then your concise won’t let you slack off.
Just recently I have found a co-founder & I am amazed at the progress I have made so far.
How I found a co-founder is another story for another time!
There haven’t been any posts. I have been playing & having fun. I haven’t been focused. I have been playing with Sony Vegas Studio, making videos, learning Arabic, a few road trips, some parties, even volunteering, creating wordpress theme, reading, playing video games & doing some client work.
It’s funny how I keep planning, re-planning & un-planning. Anyways, looks like everyone is reading this essay by Paul Graham: http://www.paulgraham.com/really.html. It made me realize I have too many distractions.
I guess it is time to stick to the plan and re-focus. I am planning to spend equal amount of time on my startup project as other projects. You should see a re-designed version of the website up this weekend.
Oh yeah, pretty soon video blogging is coming here!

i was reading “Once You’re Lucky, Twice You ‘re Good” by Sarah Lacy. She tells the story of how this generation of Silicon Valley entrepreneurs are serial multi-billion dollar companies. For them making only one company just one successful company means that they were lucky. Instead, they go on making successful company after company.
I have actually read only first 2 chapters of this book. But I am already re-thinking my goal of making a million dollar by the time I am 30. My new goal is to make a billion dollar plus company by the time I am 30.
To be honest, I am very satisfied with what I make right now. Thanks God. If I want to live a normal life, I will be very happy to continue working in corporate America. But I have desire to succeed beyond normal, money is simply a scorecard for me.
Still I don’t know how I will do this, but I know that I am running out of time. I am on vacation for next 2 weeks which I will probably spend contemplating on what I need to do.
