So with no PS3, I thought I could live without games & use my time more productively.
But I spent all Sunday in BestBuy looking at PS3, Xbox 360 & Wii. Talking myself out of buying these & then picking them again & again. I hate the amount of time these games take & I hate how expensive new games have gotten. But then I realized without a quick & fairly harmless outlet for stress & end of day relaxation, I was engaging in far more destructive activities including quit quiting smoking & spending countless hours in BestBuy.
So as I was looking at all the new video games, I remembered how back in days, PC was ultimate gaming machine. But lately, PC seems like full of FPS shooters & MMORPGs both of which I hate. (Because they are so addicting from what I hear).
But there is a lost genre of gaming that no one talks about anymore, Adventure games. I love Adventure games. There were barely any adventure games at BestBuy but quick search on EVO showed that Adventure games are alive and doing very well.
So I end up buying several games for PC including Myst (that unfortunately I never played). Now, at least, I didn’t had to make a large upfront investment in a gaming console. One helpful website I found was AdventureGamers.com. Here is a list of their top games that I want to beat.
I already stopped fasting because I am starting to feel sick all the time. I think it’s probably due to bug going around.
Anyways, uncertainty of economy just motivated me to restart my side business. While I should be careful when spending money in current job market, but I have got a whole bunch of new toys. Just bought Canon Rebel XSi, Disgaea 3, several books and CDs.
I think right now I just need a sofa, a bag for my camera, and some new clothes. Hopefully my spendings will be under-control from now on. Oh yeah I have to buy Prince of Persia, Final fantasy 13, Final Fantasy 13 Versus, God of War III and Tomb Raider, some more books, CDs, and some camera stuff like lenses, memory cards.
Well I guess I really need to have stuff on the side going on, right now I am making a small changes in Stanton’s website, not sure how much I will charge him. I got a new client for a hookah lounge, let’s see what he can pay.
I am moving posts from my old blog and saw this. Its an old game but I thought someone might still be playing this game and may want to use this trick.
Open up AppInit.Jam in any hex editor. Search for “”Nudity”". It should say something like Nudity Setting (Change to 1 for European version): 0. Just change the value to 1 and start the game. Censor bars will be gone. Have fun!
I think what you wanted in childhood is what really makes you happy. I loved video games in my childhood. After college I tried to out grow video games. I stopped playing or even reading about them. Until recently I broke down and bought PS3. I can tell you since then I am the happiest person ever.
My childhood dream was to make video games. Market made me realize that its not easy to get a job in video game industry. So I gave up that dream. Luckily, at work, I have met some people who are also interested in making video games. They are still in initial planning stages. I have decided to join them. This has made me so much excited and motivated.
